SMS length and how many parts are charged

You pay for each part of an SMS. The number of parts depends on the length of the text and on the letters it is written in.

• Latin script — up to 160 characters in one SMS. Longer text is split into parts of 153 characters.
• Cyrillic script — up to 70 characters in one SMS. Longer text — parts of 67 characters.

Hidden characters that make an SMS longer

A single character outside the basic Latin set switches the whole message to the 70-character mode. These include:

• Cyrillic letters, even just one;
• emoji;
• guillemets «», the long dash —, typographic quotes;
• the Uzbek ‘ sign in o‘ and g‘.

Tip for texts in Uzbek Latin: write o' and g' with a plain apostrophe ' — then one SMS fits 160 characters instead of 70.
