SMS Sender Name: What It Is and How to Get One in Uzbekistan
A sender name (called “SMS nick” in USMS) appears on the phone instead of a number: customers see your company name right away and are more likely to open the message. Until a nick is connected, SMS arrive from the shared number 4546.
Why a sender name helps
- Trust: recipients recognise your brand instead of a random number.
- Fewer doubts about important messages — codes, order statuses, reminders.
- A consistent look on every operator where the nick is approved.
What name you can choose
- Latin letters, digits and the characters . _ -
- 3 to 11 characters;
- the name must match your company or brand.
How to get one
A sender name is approved by the mobile operators. You will need: the desired nick, your field of business, a link to information about the organisation and a document — a company registration certificate or a licence (PDF, JPG or PNG up to 5 MB).
- Open Profile → “Extra services” → the “SMS nick” tab.
- Fill in the details and choose the operators.
- Press “Pay and submit” — the cost for the chosen operators is charged to your balance immediately.
Timing and details
- Review takes 1–1.5 months: each operator checks whether the nick is free.
- An operator may approve the nick in its own spelling, for example CLICK or CLICK_.
- If an operator declines, the money for it is returned to your balance.
- Payment covers 30 days; with “Auto-renewal” ticked, the nick renews itself.
- Perfectum does not support sender-name connection.
